A combination of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, this wine presents aromas of black berries, tannins giving it a good structure. Powerful on the nose, complex on the taste and an amazing colour! Frederic Maule, 5th generation to own the chateau, is a young winemaker who has inherited of his family’s tradition. He is very successful, and has recently been praised by US specialists on his range, especially 2001 Grande reserve. Located next to the prestigious AOC St Emilion and Pomerol, this privileged vineyard benefits from ideal conditions. One not to miss, excellent to drink now, or keep!
