Chateau St Jacques Calon is an AOC Montagne St Emilion. A combination of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. You cannot go wrong with this one! The nose is amazing, powerful and fruity. Black and red berries aromas, silky tannins, this is such an elegant wine. The taste is well balanced, and really whether you drink it on its own or with food, you won’t be disappointed. An amazing unique wine in a box! Also available in bottles.
Frederic Maule, 5th generation to own the chateau, is a young winemaker who has inherited of his family’s tradition. He is very successful, and has recently been praised by US specialists on his range, especially 2001 Grande reserve.
