Chateau Canevault is an AOC 2006 Fronsac wine. This is an 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes combination wine. A very powerful wine from an excellent vintage year 2006, with round tannins, aromas of red berries, subtle earthy hints and a long persistent finish. This wine would be best paired with game, red meat and hearty cheeses Fronsac is a very small appellation, often unknown over here, but one of the best in Bordeaux. This vineyard was bought by the Chaudet family in 1997. The bottles are stored in the underground galleries, providing the best conditions to mature and protect the wine. The underground galleries are very rare and make this chateau quite unique.
