Chateau St Jacques Calon “Cuvée des Moulins” 2004 is an AOC Montagne St Emilion. Gold award winner in 2006 in the Vignerons Independants competition. Aged in oak barrels, a combination of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, this wine presents aromas of ripe red fruits, elegant and voluptuous wine! The colour is rich and bright; the taste is complex and the finish very long! This Cuvee des Moulins is only sold in a sealed wooden case, containing 6 bottles. Perfect present! Frederic Maule, 5th generation to own the chateau, is a young winemaker who has inherited of his family’s tradition. He is very successful, and has recently been praised by French and US specialists on his range, especially 2001 Grande reserve. Located next to the prestigious AOC St Emilion and Pomerol, this privileged vineyard benefits from ideal conditions.
