From the top of the hills near Bergerac, Chateau la Moulière wine is predominantly merlot with a bit of cabernet franc, which gives it some spicy notes as well as fruity. A perfect robust wine, from an appellation less known than its nearby vineyards of Bordeaux, it will surprise you. Best to have either on its own, with spicy food, red meat, cured meat, mushroom strogonoff and any kind of cheeses. Available also in bottles. The Fournier family has owned these vineyards for generations, passing on their passion and hard work. They also own the Chateau de Bonhoste near Bordeaux. They are renowned for producing very soft, subtle wines, and are always coming away from specialist fairs with medals and awards!
