Out of stock! Produced by Chateau La Rivalerie, appellation Premieres Cotes de Blaye, this Bordeaux red won the silver award from Decanter in 2004. It is a very good example of a cabernet Sauvignon, fairly dry, with a presence of tannins, complex and powerful wine. It goes very well with red meat and strong cheeses. The Bonarccosi family bought this vineyard in 1997. Situated by the Garonne River, north of Bordeaux, the vineyard and the buildings necessitated some restoring which the family worked very hard to do and by so re-establish the reputation this chateau had a long time ago. Getting the silver award was the first important accolade they received; let’s hope they will be plenty more!
